We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer Product Manager supporting one of our premier programs in the business unit. Your knowledge with regards to Lean-Agile principles as well as your collaboration skills will be put to good use. This work will be on-site at our Aurora CO campus.
What You Will Do
- Act as the voice of the customer and mission stakeholders across an Agile Release Train (ART) focused on satellite ground system software ensuring alignment of feature priorities with program goals and operational realities.
- Own and manage the ART-level product backlog collaborating closely with System Architects Engineers RTEs and Product Owners to define refine and prioritize Epics and Capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer and System Architects to define system-level requirements decompose them into actionable Features and ensure alignment with architecture and mission objectives.
- Collaborate across multiple ARTs and stakeholder organizations to ensure cohesive delivery of capabilities in a high-stakes mission-critical environment.
- Drive PI (Program Increment) planning readiness by preparing roadmaps backlog grooming and cross-team dependency alignment.
- Coordinate with Cost Account Managers (CAMs) to ensure funding is activated in time to support planned features and Program Increment (PI) execution
- Participate in and lead ART ceremonies including PI Planning System Demos Inspect & Adapt workshops and backlog refinement sessions
- Continuously evaluate value deliveryusing data mission feedback and Agile metricsto adjust priorities improve throughput and remove impediments
- Support resource forecasting and capacity planning by working with functional leads and the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to understand staffing availability and align it with delivery priorities.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
- Experience in Agile environments management value stream coordination and/or ART execution
- Experience with ground systems space operations or mission planning systems in a classified or DoD/intelligence setting
- Experience with tools such as Jira Confluence and Agile planning/reporting platforms
Qualifications We Prefer
- At least 2 years in a Product Manager or Product Owner role.
- SAFe certification (e.g. SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner (PMPO) SAFe Agilist).
- Experience in Agile delivery of large-scale distributed systemsparticularly those with legacy components or constrained integration timelines.
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders translating user needs and system capabilities into prioritized work.
- Passion for modernizing delivery approaches in complex compliance-heavy environmentsbalancing agility with security availability and mission assurance.
- A systems-thinking mindset: able to zoom out to view the mission and architecture holistically and zoom in to shape actionable testable features

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
