Terminal Manager
The Law Family Companies is a 6th generation family-owned and operated business dedicated to providing logistics solutions in the Maine New Hampshire and Vermont areas since 1882. We are comprised of seven companies ranging from transportation and warehousing moving and storage and real estate services. The family and leadership team are committed to assuring experience stability consistency and creative leadership throughout our companies.
BSP Trans Inc. has been providing the Maine New Hampshire and Vermont areas with outstanding LTL transportation services since 1970. At BSP our team consists of a six-terminal network across our coverage area to ensure swift deliveries for customers.
Full Time
Annual Salary - $80-$90K
What you will do on a typical day:
- Function as Leader emulating the behaviors expected by the company of all employees
- Coordinate all activities related to the operations to ensure continuous improvement while reducing costs and to meet or exceed customer expectations for on-time delivery
- Manage the facilitys hiring process by hiring the best-qualified applicants and by ensuring compliance with company and government regulations
- Facilitate education and training programs to motivate employees to improve performance and quality of work processes
- Review and analyze expenditure financial and operations reports to determine the requirement for increasing profits and improving processes
- Establish and maintains an effective relationship with the local customers
- Provide a safe and efficient working environment for employees and the public by ensuring compliance with company and government safety regulations
- Previous managerial/supervisory experience in LTL
What you need at a minimum to succeed at BSP:
- Strong decision-making ability with excellent customer focus and demonstrated attention to detail with proven track record for delivering results
- Five (5) years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated organizational planning prioritization and leadership skills
- Knowledge of OSHA
- Effective verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
It would also be great if you have:
- Seven (7) years or more of operations leadership experience.
- Experience using MS Office applications (Word Excel Access and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of company policy procedures and applicable
