The Ottawa Catholic School Board invites applications from candidates interested in being considered for the International Languages (Secondary) Program teaching and supply teaching positions which may become available during the 2025-2026 school year. These credit teaching positions are for Levels 1 to 3 (gr. 9 to 12) on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m . for 29 Saturdays from September 20 2025 to June 6 2026. Please note that staffing is based on student enrollment and classes may be offered in-person virtually or both.

Required Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:
Registered with the Ontario College of Teachers and hold a Certificate of Qualification (or equivalent) in the Intermediate/Senior divisions;
Teaching experience;
Must have knowledge of and fluency of the language (Listening Speaking Reading and Writing);
For ASL only - Knowledge of and fluency of American Sign Language Deaf culture and needs of Deaf in Hearing/Deaf Cultural settings;
Comfortable teaching online. Some training and support to teach online is available.
In addition the following will be considered an asset:
Previous experience working with children and/or youth;
Good computer skills (Google Apps Microsoft Office) and knowledge of online Learning and/or Meeting tools;
For ASL only - Previous teaching experience of ASL with Hearing Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing working in Hearing environments.
Compensation: $53.68 per hour plus 4% vacation pay. As of September 1 2025 hourly rate will be $55.02 plus 4 % vacation pay.
