Description

We are looking for a Lead Certified Sterile Process Technician - someone whos ready to grow with our company. In this position you will assist the Manager in supervising the efficient processing of instruments and sterilization throughout the Hospital.

  • Ok with 645a-315pm schedule
  • Ability to operate all OR sterilization and processing equipment to prioritize and organize and to work independently with consistent supervision

Skills & Requirements

  • Required H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Required CRCST - Cert-Cert Reg Cent Ser TECH by The Healthcare Sterile Processing Association and CSPDT - Cert-Sterile Proc & Dist Tech by the Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician issued by The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
  • 2 years hospital instrument processing

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processes decontaminated medical devices as they are received according to established priorities medical device IFUs and best practices.
  • Ensures staff are trained in the operation of the decontamination equipment.
  • Receives instruments from the decontamination area and processes appropriately.
  • Performs physical and environmental duties as designated routinely including cleaning workspace/instrument room/cabinets emptying biohazards waste monitoring sterilizers and checking environmental monitors.
  • Completes sterilization processes.
  • High level disinfection.
  • Monitor completion of Quality Assurance Data
  • Ensure the department is adequately staffed daily including weekends.
  • Collaborate with others i.e. OR coordinators BioMed Supply Chain for troubleshooting/ordering instruments etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including other essential instrument room duties.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
