The Observability Visualization and Analysis (OTIE-OVA) team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who is excited about the opportunity to be part of the tech team building infrastructure monitoring applications on AWS for internal Amazon customers.
Were an agile development team owning infrastructure monitoring for the OTIE organization and are actively developing new monitoring services for our worldwide operations.
Operations Technology Infrastructure Engineering (OTIE) is the central organization supporting all Operational sites (e.g. Fulfillment Centers Delivery Stations Sortation Centers) worldwide with IT infrastructure and corresponding services e.g. monitoring or device management.
The ideal candidate is passionate about software development and has a track record of leading design implementation and operation of large-scale systems. They are keen about creating maintainable high-quality software that is built and deployed through continuous delivery (CD). They care about the user experience and are confident in back-end initiatives. Above all else have a passion for well-architected software within a positive team environment are key to the role.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
