JOB TITLE: Watch Officer (Intermediate)

LOCATION: Huntsville AL
REPORTS TO: SABG Program Manager
FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt
SUMMARY: SABG is hiring a Watch Officer (Intermediate) to support the Huntsville Missile Defense Agency Operations Center (HMOC). The HMOC directly supports the Director MDA by serving as the noted for situational awareness and information collection and monitoring for the operational/developmental status of the Missile Defense System. The HMOC is located in the Von Braun III Complex on Redstone Arsenal AL. Contractor and Government personnel to provide nominal 12 x 5 support (2 x 8 hours watches a day 5 days a week with a 4 hour overlap).

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree and 5 years operational experience analyzing and reporting operational readiness data and impacts; conducting strategic high-level coordination activities; deliberate planning; test support; logistics and sustainment; requirements and operational document development; problem solving and working independently.

COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read analyze and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
