Job Description
ProMedica Toledo Hospitalis one of the largest acute-care facilities in the region. Our 794-bed hospital is staffed by more than 4800 professional healthcare employees who serve a 27-county area throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. We also have the areas largest board-certified medical staff which is made up of more than 1000 primary care and specialty physicians. Position Summary:
The patient transporter works in various departments of the hospital by transporting patients to their required destinations. The ideal candidate will have interpersonal skills and compassion to be a successful patient transporter. Schedule Information:
- 8 hour shifts 5 shifts per pay period (2 weeks)
- Requires rotating weekends
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR Certification. Must be (and maintain) CPR certification within 30 days of CPR expiration.
- Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations.
- Must be able to understand directions communicate and respond to inquiries.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to frequently move lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Previous patient care experience preferred.
