    About the School
    Edmonds Heights K-12 (EHK12) is a public school in the Edmonds School Districtandan Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) parent partnership program. An ALE public school is one in which some or all of the instruction is delivered outside of a regular classroom schedule. As a parent partnership program the parent/guardian collaborates in the education oftheir child(ren).

    About the Position
    This is a .8 FTE position for a Math Intervention Teacher (grades 5-8) and WSLP Advisor (grades K-12) at Edmonds Heights that begins with the2025-26 school year.

    Note: .4 FTE of this position is non-continuing for the 2025-26 school year ONLY.

    Preference will be given to candidates that currently have an ELL ESOL or Bilingual training and GLAD training offered by theMultilingual Education Departmentwill be required for all new employees unless they can show evidence of having completed SIOP and GLAD training previously. Training will need to be completed within the first year of employment.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Plan and implement targeted math intervention with fifth through 8th grade students who are working 2 or more years below grade level.
    • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to identify students who will benefit from math interventions
    • Collaborate regularly with parent educators to support extended learning at home
    • Serve as a Written Student Learning Plan (WSLP) Advisor to a caseload of 30 students ranging from kindergarten through high school.

    Required Qualifications:
    Washington State Teaching Certificate with an Elementary Education (K-8) endorsement or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date.

    Salary:
    2024-25 Salary Schedule Range: $80136 through $143159(2025-26 Salary Schedule not yet finalized).Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.

    Benefits:
    Our benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions.
    • Eligibility for health insurance is based on whether the employee is anticipated to be compensated at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31). For the 2024-25school year a .5 FTE continuing contract position will meet that eligibility threshold. Eligibility for a non-continuing contract position will be determined at the time of hire by counting the total anticipated compensated hours from the date of hire through the end of the non-continuing contract. Benefitsinclude Medical Dental Vision Long-term Disability Life and ADD Insurance and options for HSA FSA and DCAP.
    • Eligibility for retirement is based on whether the employee is anticipated to work at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year. For the 2024-25school year a .6 FTE (either continuing or non-continuing) meets that eligibility threshold.

The position may require moving objects regularly weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
