We are currently seeking a strong Senior Systems Analyst to play a key role deliver solutions to our business partners solve complex problems and strive to advance and sustain world-class technology platforms. This position requires strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and a desire to analyze and solve complex problems. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people across the organization. Excellent organization communication and delivery skills are required. This individual must be a team player with a desire and willingness to learn. As a member of the Investor Application Support Team the Senior Systems Analyst plays a critical role in Wellingtons success by providing continuous support and solutions to the firms globally located investors across Asset Allocation Commodities Equity Fixed Income Macro Analysis and Risk Management.
Interact directly with investment professionals at all levels of the organization as a trusted advisor
Answer functional and technical questions from investment professionals about their tools data and reports in the areas of research valuation risk management portfolio analysis and portfolio construction
Respond to requests from our business for ad hoc analysis as well as other information delivery solutions
Design support improve and develop data validation and productivity tools and processes
Manage production incidents determining root cause appropriate corrective actions and follow-up
Proactively identify issues and opportunities for improved methods and approaches to support investment processes
Must have experience supporting investors Proficient in the front and middle office functions of Order Management Systems. Prefer to see candidates that have experience working with investment tools research tools investment reporting Factset/Bloomberg background and the like. Ths person needs to know the basics of holdings transactions benchmarks etc
Must have experience with Fixed Income and Derivatives. This is the primary area for Level 2 support.
They will be working with the Portfolio Analysts to support them on any of their requests.
Must have strong SQL skills
Willingness to provide production support. Production support is on a rotation basis requirement once every 2 months and the person is expected to check the tests that are running and escalate or fix if need be. The time commitment varies from 30 minutes to 3hrs when on-call
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as this person will be working directly with the users.
Masters degree in computer science business economics finance mathematical finance or related subject
With two years of business analysis or systems analysis experience in trading investment management or financial services environment
Or a bachelors degree in related subject
With five years of business analysis or systems analysis
experience
Analytical and problem-solving skills in buy-side investment management systems and data technologies
Writing business requirements functional specifications use cases and test plans
Business analysis or systems analysis experience in financial statement analysis investment management or financial services environment
Experience with financial instruments including stocks bonds swaps options futures forwards derivatives and FX
Experience with advanced investment data concepts including holdings transactions security master analytics and performance
Experience of investment workflows in the areas of research valuation analysis risk management and portfolio construction
Experience writing SQL queries and working with database technologies such as Oracle or SQL Server
Experience working with Market Data platforms such as Bloomberg and FactSet
Experience with Python development
Client relationship skills
Experience working directly with business partners to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary variable compensation and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 80000 - 180000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salaryis only one component of Wellingtons total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives if eligible.
