Senior Lottery Performance Analyst

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Lottery Performance Analyst to join our team. In this role you will use your analytical skills to tell the story of Lottery performance data. Your insights and recommendations will be used to influence business decisions that will help us elevate our customer experience and help bring our game to the next level.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Senior Manager Lottery Performance and Analytics you will be empowered to:

Provide Data Driven Insights into Lottery Performance and Customer Experience

  • Deliver data-driven insights to support product performance customer behavior and strategic business questions.

  • Retrieve synthesize and analyze data from diverse sources including sales reports product profitability financial and operational data and customer intelligence.

  • Combine and transform data from multiple systems to support complex analysis and provide clear impactful business recommendations.

  • Explore large loosely structured datasets to identify trends develop measurement frameworks and uncover opportunities for optimization using both structured and exploratory techniques.

  • Develop schedule and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly communicate key metrics and trends across the lottery portfolio.

  • Create scalable queries and reusable tools to automate and streamline data retrieval from internal repositories.

Establish Critical Relationships & Communication

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the product analysts to incorporate product related performance analytics and to better understand the product portfolio market competitive intelligence product launches marketing innovation customer experience etc.

  • Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to undertake financial modeling planning budgeting forecasting and ensure that performance data ties to a single version of the truth

  • Explain trends to cross-functional teams as well as senior leadership across data sources potential opportunities for growth or improvement and data caveats for descriptive diagnostic predictive (including forecasting) and prescriptive data projects

  • Consult with various parts of the Lottery division to define design and develop analytic solutions to meet business needs

Process Improvement and Troubleshooting

  • Identify areas of improvements and concerns in business operational areas and recommend action plans

  • Develop and implement performance metrics to improve business operational efficiency

  • Work with end users in troubleshooting issues with reports and dashboards

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work experience: 3 years of experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role ideally in consumer products gaming or retail environments.

Education: Post-secondary education in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education training and experience

Knowledge & Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL Excel and Power BI (including DAX and data modeling) with experience using Python or R for data analysis such as wrangling visualization and statistical modeling; familiarity with machine learning techniques and AI applications in business intelligence or forecasting is an asset.

Cross functional relationships: well-developed interpersonal skills to establish effective business relationships manage conflict build consensus and influence decision-making
