Manager Finance Transformation
Our client is a high-profile Government Department with a focus on building a strong community through providing services that benefit the community through meeting their needs.
An initial 6-month contract exists for a Finance Manager focused on building an internal budget and managing finance transformation projects. This role is based in Parramatta and offers 50% hybrid work arrangements.
Key Deliverables:
- Provide assistance to the Director in delivering high level strategic tactical and operational financial advice to executives to achieve their organisational goals ensuring they meet the required standards of probity equity and best practise in public administration.
- Develop ground up budgets working with the Director and Divisional executives to ensure the budgets reflect the Divisions business plans and remain within their budgetary allocation.
- Provide financial analysis and advice regarding the impacts arising from Divisional initiatives including assistance with costing and consideration as to the sources of funding.
- The role will provide an interface between the business operations and the central Finance team and other government departments including Treasury and will provide relevant financial advice that enables senior staff to make decisions regarding operations.
Key Skills Required:
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Finance Manager and must have tertiary qualifications in Accounting Business Economics or Commerce and membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
- Experience developing budgets from the ground up
- Proven financial analysis experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Government experience preferred but not essential
