Job Summary
The HR Coordinator will closely with Corporate Human Resources to provide timely and professional Human Resources support to their assigned location ensuring that all applicable legislation is adhered to. Assists with administration and maintenance of Human Resources programs policies and procedures in accordance with Company objectives.
Principal Responsibilities
Responsible for weekly payroll and time & attendance.
Responsible for answering all first level HR related inquiries to Managers and hourly employees
Liaison between corporate HR payroll and the employees regarding Benefits Payroll HR time & attendance etc.
Creates and maintains location specific reference manuals standards policies procedures and work instructions that fall under the scope of Human Resources
Maintains accurate and up to date personnel records for all employees - attendance records training records performance appraisals reviews etc.
Develops and maintains HR monthly reports for Location Management turnover absenteeism manpower STD hours and recruitment
Supports full cycle recruitment efforts in coordination with Talent Acquisition and the Hiring Manager for all hourly personnel and skilled trades.
Develops effective onboarding procedures and conducts new employee orientation
Provides relevant HR training to hourly employees (AODA Respect in the Workplace Privacy etc.)
Assists in creating training Matrix
Monitorsday evaluations and notify Supervisor when due
Conduct Exit Interviews for hourly employees
Assists with administering Claims Management and Return to Work for Non-Occupational injuries or illnesses in coordination with Employee Relations and HSE as applicable.
Meet with hourly employees as required to resolve benefit and payroll issues
Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by Management
Develops and administers effective rewards and recognition programs
Coordinates and carries out various Employee Engagement activities and opportunities in coordination with Management.
Conduct Stay Interviews and other various survey options to assist Management in gathering feedback from employees.
Prepare detailed reports for Management and support appropriate action items from information gathered.
Employee is expected to be available and accessible to all employees. This will necessitate regular time on the Production floor and Warehouse area (PPE required).
Qualifications & Experience
2 Years of direct HR Experience preferably with generalist and payroll focus; or
Any equivalent combination of experience training and/or education approved by IPEX Management.
HR Certification preferred
Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions to complex human resource issues
Knowledge of local state and federal employment laws and regulations
Dayforce Experience preferred
