Job Description
JOB DEFINITION:
The Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct service and support as part of a multi-disciplinary team working within a 24-hour 7 day a week 365 crisis stabilization program assessing Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Six months of related experience required; experience in an acute psychiatric setting preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and engage with incoming clients.
- Assist clients around the ICSC including directing them to the locker rooms assisting with and laundry.
- Help clients participate in recreational activities.
- Provide a clean safe and comfortable environment by assisting in cleanup after clients treatment rooms and recreational areas.
- Ensure the health and safety of staff and clients in emergency situations.
- Assess situations to determine importance urgency/risks and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
- Facilitate sharing of data with the individuals to whom it applies to facilitate partnered decision-making and to keep clients informed of progress
- Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.
- Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths views and experiences. A Culture that makes better decisions drives innovation and delivers better business results.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety guidelines.
