As a newly established department theMarket Innovation& Development Department is dedicated to capturingStainless Steel new business opportunities driven by megatrends and technological evolutions. Leveraging market intelligence we identify emerging trends competing materials and strategic opportunities. The department defines manages and implements robust business cases for innovative ideas while fostering partnerships ecosystems and external relations.

AsBusiness Intelligence Lead / Megatrends & Sustainability Mobility & Transport you will provide high-quality analytical insights that directly support the Head of Market Strategy in driving the Marketing roadmap for 2030 Aperam Innovation Plan.

Responsibilities

AsDevelopment Marketing Lead you will provide high-quality analyzes that directly support in driving the Marketing roadmap for 2030 Aperam Innovation Plan. By conducting various studies of market intelligence you will monitor industry trends megatrends competitors and value chain developments identifying new business opportunities and supporting sustainable growth initiatives. This role entails:

Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis:

Conduct market analysis to identify current and future applications where Aperams products solutions and manufacturing capabilities can add value to customers. Assess the current capabilities of existing and future competitors to understand how Aperam can achieve sustainable profitable growth.

Perform targeted analysis on behalf of Market Developers to identify stainless steel opportunities within their respective segments including Mobility & Transportation Consumer Goods and Construction.

Analyse businesswise technological advancements along with R&D and competitors strategies to provide insights to Market Developers

  • Prepare the input of the business cases of the identified projects feeding the innovation plan and challenge the business developers according to market potentials and market perspectives (customer segments to target value proposition potential volumes per year potential profitability). Act as co-accountable for the validated business cases with Market Developers and the operational marketing department..
  • Conduct proactive market screening to support Market Developers. Your role will involve mapping out high-potential market segments and customer pain points to solve.
  • Provide with data-Driven Insights for Value Chain & Pricing Analysis: Provide with detailed analysis of value chains pricing models and market demands to ensure competitive pricing strategies and support business Developers initiatives.
  • Monitor the competition & propose strategic adaptation: continuously monitor competitors strategies and market activities implementing adaptive strategies to keep Aperam at the forefront of the industry.
  • Prepare the negotiations of market developers by a breakeven calculation and additional analyses (market substitution materials players downstream opportunities .)
  • Sustainable Steel Marketing Plan: make a decisive contribution by providing critical data and analyses about market structure of segments challenge existing tactics in the marketing plan highlighting the benefits of Aperams sustainable steel solutions.

By delivering actionable insights and ensuring the company remains ahead of market trends the Business Intelligence Lead will play a critical role in strengthening Aperams strategic market initiatives and the execution of the 2030 Innovation Plan.

KPIs

  • Number of Business Cases validated and delivered to Market Developers and operational marketing
  • Innovation Plan EBITDA objectives realisation
  • Number of new opportunities integrated into the Innovation Plan
  • Quality of information provided to Market Innovation & Development team



Qualifications

Profile

  • 8 years of experience in market strategy business development or marketing roles within a B2B industry.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration Marketing or a relevant field with additional qualifications in Market Research data analysis considered an asset
  • Experience in developing market reports trend analysis and actionable insights to support business strategy
  • Business acumen in the industry
  • Strong analytical skills data driven mindsetexcellent communication and presentation skills
  • Dynamic very good interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work in a transversal way
  • Fluent in English and in digital technologies
