We are seeking a strategic and experienced MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) Sales Manager to lead our broadband initiatives across apartment complexes condominiums and other multi-family housing units. This role will drive growth partnership development and execution of MDU broadband services. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise sales leadership and operational oversight to expand our footprint and subscriber base in the MDU segment.
Responsibilities:
- Initially youll be dedicating 50% of your time to developing and training existing team members.
- Design and implement a structured training program for new hires including monthly ride-along
- Develop and execute the MDU go-to-market strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Identify high-potential MDU opportunities and build scalable deployment models.
- Analyze data to derive insights and present clear actionable strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners real estate developers and property management firms.
- Negotiate and manage access agreements and contracts for MDU properties.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create targeted MDU campaigns and materials.
- Drive resident lead generation and conversion within MDU properties.
- Oversee network buildouts and service deployment across MDU properties.
- Coordinate with engineering construction and operations teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective implementation.
- Provide training and performance support to ensure effective execution.
- Define KPIs and regularly report progress to senior leadership.
- Ensure a seamless resident experience from installation to service activation.
- Manage escalations and drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
- 8 years in telecommunications with a focus on MDU development sales or network deployment.
- Proven success in securing MDU agreements including bulk and exclusive marketing agreements and managing large-scale projects.
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
- Preference for candidates located in Ohio; candidates in Pennsylvania and Michigan will also be considered.
- Experience working with REITs large property managers or HOA boards.
- Knowledge of MDU market trends regulatory frameworks and FCC guidelines.
- Previous leadership experience in a fast-growing telecom or ISP environment.
- Strong knowledge of broadband services fiber networks and RF technologies.
- Exceptional negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project and team management capabilities.
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and project management software.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook).
- Bachelors degree in Business Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
