PRIMARY FUNCTION: Drivers are responsible for picking up members at their homes in the morning and driving them to program. Additionally at the end of the day the driver picks the members up at North Jersey Friendship House and drives them home. This is a split shift position.
Hours: Monday - Friday (7-8:30 a.m./3-4:30 p.m.)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Driver is responsible for making sure the vehicles are kept clean at all times.
- Driver is responsible for filling vehicle gas tanks when the level drops below tank.
- Driver is responsible for tracking mileage and completing the driver log in its entirety on a per trip basis.
- Driver is required to notify senior management of any repairs needed on the vehicles.
- Upon arriving at the members house the driver will wait 5 minutes then call the contact number provided and verify that the member is attending program that day. After the phone call the driver will wait an additional 5 minutes (maximum of 10 minutes from time of arrival) and then leave.
- Driver is responsible for ensuring members sign in noting the time of pick up and drop off as well as noting CBC (canceled by client) and DNS (did not show) when applicable on a per trip basis.
- Driver is to notify senior management of any changes that need to be made to the Route List and/or Member Sign In sheet.
- Driver is responsible for locating all members at pick up time and cannot leave the building until each member has signed out. Driver should ask Attendance Assistant/counselors for assistance in locating members when needed.
- Smoking of any kind is prohibited in the Friendship House vehicles at all times. Driver will ensure this policy is strictly enforced.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Clean driving record
- Minimum of 1 year driving as part of previous work experience
- Prior experience with the population is a plus
Minimum 21 years of age
