Job Description

  • Status:Full-time Fixed Term (1 year)

The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking two experienced Cloud Solution Architects and Migration Engineers to join our growing ICT team. These opportunities will play a key role in modernising our infrastructure and driving the successful migration of critical services to Microsoft Azure.

About the Role:

The Cloud Solution Architect and Migration Engineer will support the delivery of NLCs strategic objectives by leading the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure. This role will be central to transitioning enterprise workloads to Microsoft Azure integrating cloud services with existing systems and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. Youll contribute to project planning documentation and ongoing support to build a resilient and future-ready ICT environment.

As part of NLCs cloud migration initiative youll provide expert guidance in designing implementing and automating secure Azure-based environments. Youll work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from on-premise systems to the cloud while enhancing security scalability and performance.

What you will Bring:

Youll bring hands-on experience in Azure cloud architecture and migration with a strong understanding of identity management automation and security. Your ability to design scalable solutions troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate across teams will be key to your success. A proactive mindset attention to detail and commitment to best practices will make you a valuable asset in NLCs digital transformation journey.

In addition to this you will have:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field.
  • Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator Azure Solutions Architect)
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS platforms.
  • Strong skills in:
    • Azure networking including network peering gateways and firewalls
    • Cisco Meraki
    • Office 365 administration
  • Proven experience in scripting and automation (e.g. PowerShell Terraform)

We offer:

  • Annual Salary: $135000 plus 15% Superannuation (Negotiable)
  • Salary packaging benefitsof up to $15900 and additional Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2650 per year.
  • Generous leave entitlementssuch as 5 weeks annual leave 18 days personal leave per annum and paid Christmas shut down.
