Athena Medtech is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join our dynamic Cardiovascular Imaging and Interventional team. In this role you will support physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing hemodynamic and electrophysiological monitoring operating radiologic equipment and maintaining a safe sterile and well-stocked clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical SupportTransport patients to and from the department ensuring safety and comfort.
Assist in procedures under the supervision of physicians and RNs within a sterile field.
Provide support in at least two of the following specialties:
Hemodynamic monitoring
Electrophysiological monitoring
Radiologic equipment operation
Case scrubbing and procedural assistance
Collaborate with other cardiology departments as needed.
Utilize EPIC and other clinical systems to document procedures and manage data accurately.
Monitor patient vitals and procedural findings alerting clinical staff to abnormalities.
Operate imaging and radiologic equipment under physician direction.
Manage image quality and troubleshoot technical issues.
Assist in onboarding and training new team members on equipment and protocols.
Assist in procedures involving specialized cardiovascular tools including:
IVUS pressure wires thrombectomy devices
Cardiac stimulators RF sources and advanced imaging technologies
Participate in equipment in-services and share knowledge with the team.
Support the implementation of new technologies and clinical protocols.
Maintain a clean aseptic work environment in all procedure areas.
Prepare procedure rooms daily and ensure readiness.
Communicate supply needs to the materials coordinator or supervisor.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the department manager.
Attend mandatory training and continuing education to maintain clinical competencies.
Submit accurate procedural reports and documentation as required.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives by collecting and analyzing data.
Attend at least one departmental in-service annually.
Education: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or documented Cardiovascular Credentialing
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Skills:
Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
Sound clinical judgment and attention to detail
Technical proficiency with cardiovascular monitoring and imaging systems
Regularly interact with patients families internal team members and external healthcare professionals
Collaborate with physicians directors and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
