CT Technologist Radiology Department
Location: Athena Medtech
Schedule: 3 Days/12-Hour Shifts (36 Hours/Week)
Shift Hours: 09:30 AM 09:00 PM
Status: Traveler Position
Rotation Schedule: Includes alternating weekends and weekdays (detailed rotation provided upon interview)
Athena Medtech is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our Radiology Department. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. As a CT Technologist you will play a critical role in supporting clinical teams by producing accurate and high-resolution diagnostic images for patient evaluation and treatment planning.
Requirements-
Licensure: Iowa Permit to Practice

Certification: ARRT (CT) BLS (Basic Life Support)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a CT Technologist role

Operate CT (Computed Tomography) equipment to obtain diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues.

Ensure patients are correctly positioned to capture the targeted anatomical area.

Perform equipment warm-up and maintenance procedures to ensure safe and optimal performance.

Interpret and follow physician instructions accurately to perform appropriate scans.

Administer contrast agents as required ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Evaluate image quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure clarity and diagnostic usefulness.

Provide patients with clear explanations of procedures offering support and reassurance throughout the imaging process.

Maintain strict adherence to infection control and radiologic safety protocols.

Proficiency in operating advanced CT equipment

Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiographic techniques

Excellent patient care and communication skills

Ability to assess image quality and troubleshoot technical issues

Experience working in a high-volume or fast-paced clinical environment preferred
