Job Description

RN - Med Surg (Permanent Role)

Location: Marble Falls TX 78654
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough clinical assessments to identify patient and family needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans; evaluate and revise plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Build therapeutic relationships by maintaining professionalism and showing empathy and compassion.
  • Educate patients families and the community to support informed healthcare decisions.
  • Regularly assess and document learning needs and education provided.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team and community resources to coordinate care plans.
  • Delegate and supervise nursing tasks responsibly ensuring follow-up and accountability.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in clinical scenarios.
  • Recognize professional limitations and act to ensure safety efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote teamwork and continuous improvement; mentor peers and support community involvement.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong clinical knowledge in nursing practices standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations and laws.
  • Understanding of hospital protocols and patient care guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health conditions medications and side effects.
  • Adherence to professional ethics and commitment to patient privacy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills to engage with diverse populations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas.
  • BLS Certification (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • 1-2 year of recent acute care or Med-Surg nursing experience.
