Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging Environmental Studies curriculum for primary students.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities.
- Use a variety of instructional techniques to effectively teach students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular tests and assignments.
- Encourage critical thinking and environmental awareness among students.
- Organize and participate in extracurricular activities related to Environmental Studies.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to ensure curriculum coherence across subjects.
- Implement classroom management strategies to create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Adapt teaching methods based on student needs and feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and environmental education trends.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Maintain student records and ensure adherence to school policies.
- Promote respect and appreciation for the environment through activities and discussions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies or Education.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting.
- Familiarity with curriculum standards and assessment methods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Proficient in using educational technology and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for environmental issues and education.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of diverse cultures and learning needs.
