Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging mathematics lessons for primary students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing and performance metrics.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to meet the needs of all learners.
- Encourage student participation and foster a love for mathematics.
- Communicate effectively with students parents and staff regarding student progress.
- Monitor and manage classroom behavior to ensure a respectful learning atmosphere.
- Implement technology in the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
- Plan and conduct after-school mathematics enrichment activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons.
- Stay current on best practices in mathematics instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
- Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions.
- Support school initiatives and participate in school committees as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or relevant field.
- Teaching certification specific to primary education.
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at the primary level.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students and inspire their interest in mathematics.
- Effective classroom management techniques.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Passion for educating young learners and helping them succeed.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom dynamics.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
