Job Description
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all maintenance activities in the internal workshops are carried out in accordance with the MPM/MCM and the CARs;
- Participate in the evaluation of major repairs to be performed on aircraft and aircraft parts in collaboration with the Engineering department;
- Ensure proper inventory management of tools and materials so that internal workshop technicians can perform their tasks safely and in compliance with regulations;
- Ensure that hangar employees follow health safety and environmental protection procedures making sure they are well understood and applied while actively participating in the relevant committees;
- Ensure that only properly certified parts and materials are used;
- Certify the compliance of components required for the work and issue a Maintenance Release Tag;
- Conduct annual evaluations of technicians progress;
- Encourage and engage employees to achieve departmental goals;
- Monitor absenteeism unproductivity and other performance issues and report on them.
- Promote a positive and progressive approach to discipline;
- Coordinate with other bases to follow up on technical discrepancies;
- Ensure that all documents related to modifications and major repairs are duly signed and submit the TSM-064 report form;
- Successfully carry out special assignments entrusted by the Manager Line and Hangar Maintenance.
Qualifications :
- College diploma (DEC) in aircraft or equivalent;
- 5 years of experience in aircraft ;
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering licence (AME) type M2 E S an asset;
- Experience as Team Leader an asset;
- Bilingualism essential (French and English);
- Proficiency with AMOS Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel.
