Job Description
Were seeking a skilled and driven Application Engineer Machining Processes to support our manufacturing clients in optimizing their operations and tooling performance. If you have a passion for problem-solving experience in CNC machining and cutting tools and enjoy working hands-on with manufacturers this opportunity is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Recommend cutting tools based on machining parameters and applications
- Diagnose and resolve tool life and performance issues on-site
- Analyze tool usage data and suggest improvements in tool design or process
- Collaborate with manufacturers to improve machine uptime and productivity
- Support tooling process and manufacturing engineering teams
- Attend production and tooling meetings to stay aligned with customer needs
- Provide vendor updates and manage supplier tasks
- Deliver improvements in tool life quality and overall process efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or strong knowledge in Manufacturing Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in:
- CNC machining and metal cutting tools (indexable solid carbide etc.)
- Tool life optimization work-holding and process improvement
- Lean manufacturing practices
- Strong understanding of:
- Materials surface finishes and treatments
- Reading and interpreting technical blueprints
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
