Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design maintain operate and administer servers and applications mainly in a Linux Server environment.
• Design implement and maintain the infrastructure and tools required for continuous integration delivery and deployment leveraging technologies such as AWS EKS Jenkins GitHub ArgoCD and Docker Hub.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement efficient and reliable software release processes.
• Automate manual processes build and deployment tasks and configuration management using infrastructure-as-code principles relevant scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) and YAML.
• Manage source control systems (e.g. GitHub and SVN) build servers (e.g. Jenkins) and image repositories (e.g. Docker Hub) ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Monitor the performance of servers software and hardware in those environments as well as perform upgrades application patches and deployments.
• Support and optimize applications built with the Spring Framework (or similar frameworks).
• Ensure the security and integrity of production and development environments by implementing necessary measures and best practices.
• Serve as SME in the Triaging/RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for issues identified as impairing or impacting the service or reliability of La-Z-Boy Systems.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies tools and industry trends related to DevOps and Linux Administration and drive their adoption to continuously improve our DevOps practices.

SCOPE & IMPACT:

This role collaborates with cross-functional teams optimizing infrastructure and tools to ensure efficient software delivery. They monitor key metrics impacting technology budgets while driving innovation and fostering continuous improvement. Their expertise contributes to high-quality product deployment and plays a vital role in building and maintaining a robust DevOps environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code principles. In-depth knowledge of DevOps tools.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python or Bash as well as YAML.
• Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to effectively work with both technical staff and business process owners
• Strong attention to detail

PREFERED REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-4 years experience in J2EE application servers (Tomcat Jboss Weblogic etc.)
• 1-2 years of basic administration of DBs running on Linux (Postgres MySQL etc.)
• Prior experience with log aggregation/monitoring tools and APM (Splunk Logzilla Loggly AppDynamics Dynatrace etc.)
