Job Description
This is a new opportunity due to growth at Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons P.C.! This is a full-time Monday - Friday position is hybrid after training (4 days at home 1 day in office) at our West Des Moines office focusing on interventional physiatry. As the Triage Nurse you will listen and respond to patient concerns create meaningful relationships with our providers and support the community. You will learn all sub-specialties in time to help provide back-up to your will work onsite in office at our West Des Moines office. Note: This position does not include formal medication management contracts.
Heres What You Can Expect
- Listening and responding to patient concerns received from direct calls live transfers and patient surveys. You will act as a provider liaison to advocate for patients when needed.
- Follow and support patient care policies and procedures of the Triage Team. Communicating and administrating scheduling processes for patients and providing provider communication to patients.
- We are a fast-paced specialized environment of supporting patient care by communicating with the provider team of Physicians and Physician Assistants via electronic medical record system secure messenger systems and/or phone to ensure appropriate clinical advice is given based on current protocols.
What Were Looking For
- Professional communication skills as you will be working with providers to plan and carry out procedures for handling patient concerns.
- You practice the art of listening asking clarifying questions and avoiding interrupting your patient.
- Ability to provide support to ensure patient concerns related to pre and post-procedure care are handled in a timely fashion.
- Active RN or LPN License in good standing with experience in supervision. CMA accepted with extensive triage experience.
