Were working with a long-established highly regarded accountancy practice to find an experienced Auditor ready to step into a role with real variety autonomy and progression. This isnt a box-ticking audit jobyoull be encouraged to think commercially build strong client relationships and have a genuine voice in the team. About the role

Youll take the lead on a broad portfolio of audit engagements across a mix of sectors working with limited companies charities and some specialist organisations. Theres full end-to-end responsibility on offerfrom planning through to sign-offso it suits someone confident managing audits independently. Youll also support junior team members giving guidance and review as needed while working closely with partners to ensure quality and consistency. There is fantastic opportunities of progression in the role with one of the key features being a chance at gaining equity in the company

About the client

The team youll be joining are part of a growing accountancy firm based in Barnet. They specialise in looking after small businesses and limited companiesoffering a down-to-earth approachable service with no fluff. Theyve got a good reputation a steady client base and a strong focus on doing things properly. While theyre serious about their work they dont take themselves too seriously and the office has a relaxed but focused feel.

Working hours

Monday to Friday 9:00am 5:00pm. Office-based.

Key duties

  • Leading audits from planning through to completion

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements

  • Managing and developing relationships with a diverse client base

  • Supporting and mentoring junior audit staff

  • Contributing to process improvements and quality control across the audit function

  • RI Capabilities

Key requirements

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

  • At least 3 years experience within an accountancy practice

  • Confident managing multiple client relationships simultaneously

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small tight-knit team

  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards

  • Strong attention to detail and a practical mindset
