Job Summary

We are seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineering Designer for our St. Louis location.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Design basic electrical systems in conformance with code requirements and in coordination with other MEP disciplines including Fire Protection and Architecture.

  • Coordinate with the designs of other trades (architectural engineering / internal and external) under the guidance of more senior technical staff.

  • Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer.

  • Learn drawing organization and company standard.

  • Support the design and engineering efforts of systems for new installations system retrofits system replacement and system upgrades for a wide variety of projects and project types.

  • Take ownership of the completeness accuracy and timeliness of the work assignments.

  • Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits to observe and attend project coordination meetings.

Qualifications:

  • ABET-accreditedBachelorsdegree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

  • 0-3 years experience preferably in an Engineering/Consulting/Design Firm environment.

  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.

  • Fundamental experience with performing engineering calculations and developing and implementingelectrical lighting power and special systemsdesigns.

  • Strong verbal and written skills- ability to interface with colleagues clients and external partners.

  • Ability to travel as for client development and project execution.

  • Previous Engineering Internship Preferred.

  • MS Office Suite Proficiency: AutoCAD and Revit experience is preferred.
