About PPL

Project for Pride in Living (PPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering low-income individuals and families to become self-reliant through integrated services in housing employment and education. We believe in the power of community and the potential of every person.

Job Summary

The Volunteer Program Manager is responsible for developing implementing and managing a robust volunteer program that supports PPLs mission. This role will recruit train and retain volunteers build community partnerships and ensure meaningful engagement opportunities that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Management

  • Design and implement volunteer programs that support PPLs housing employment and education initiatives.
  • Develop systems for tracking volunteer hours impact and feedback.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements

Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement

  • Recruit diverse volunteers through outreach events and partnerships.
  • Conduct orientations and training sessions to prepare volunteers for their roles.
  • Foster a positive volunteer experience through recognition and ongoing communication

Community & Partner Relations

  • Cultivate relationships with local businesses schools and community groups to expand volunteer opportunities.
  • Represent PPL at community events and volunteer fairs

Administrative & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate volunteer records and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Prepare reports on volunteer impact for internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in volunteer coordination community outreach or nonprofit engagement roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience using a volunteer or CRM database
  • Proficiency in volunteer management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid drivers license and access to an insured vehicle.
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Ensure the volunteer program is inclusive and accessible to all individuals reflecting PPLs commitment to equity belonging and community representation.

Hours: Full time Non-exempt

Salary:$50000-$64000 / annually
