Job Description

Position

The Claims Services department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a Senior Claims Account Manager. This full-time exempt position works out of WCFs Sandy Utah headquarters or one of the regional offices located in Roseville CA; Boise ID; Denver CO Phoenix AZ or Las Vegas NV. Hybrid (office/home) work is available after training. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating claim reviews with WCF policyholders and agency partners.
  • Gather claim status reports from adjusters in advance of claim reviews and participate in editing and distributing reviews to external business partners and policyholders.
  • Attend claim reviews and provide feedback to create understanding and move claims toward fair and equitable resolution.
  • Assist in developing solutions to claims issues brought by policyholders and agency partners.
  • Work with TPA account managers and adjusters to resolve technical and claims issues particularly in WCF non-core states.
  • Demonstrate autonomy self-direction accountability and the ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize deadlines.
  • Work with the director to develop strategies for resolving claims issues improving the WCF TPA program and staying informed of emerging claims and policy concerns.
  • Follow up as necessary with adjusters to confirm that claims are being handled and moving toward resolution.
  • Develop relationships with business partners and claims professionals while promoting exceptional customer service across multiple locations.
  • Partner and collaborate to promote the WCF way maximize organization efficiency and further enhance process improvement initiatives.
  • Build rapport within the WCF claims department to create a message of unity among the core states.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business or related field.
  • At least seven years of related work experience including senior- level claims adjusting or management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of medical terminology claim and policy interpretation adjusting standards and legal issues.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving complex claims issues.
  • Strong computer skills.

WCF Insurance offers an extensive compensation package. Benefits include Medical Dental and Vision insurance company paid life insurance 401K with a generous 6% employer match and additional benefits such as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and time off to volunteer in the local community. All employees earn 4 weeks of vacation in their first year. Expected salary for this position is $90000 - $125000 depending on location experience and education.

Internal candidates should have acceptable job performance 6 months in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
