Our client an Am Law 100 firm is seeking a full-time Restructuring Insolvency & Bankruptcy Paralegal to join its team in either the Los Angeles or New York office. This position will support both local attorneys and the national Restructuring Insolvency & Bankruptcy Practice Group. The role reports to the Practice Group Leader and works under the direction of attorneys and senior paraprofessionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly interim and final fee applications court filings and bankruptcy-specific documentation
- Conduct lien searches and assist with analysis; support preparation of schedules and statements of financial affairs
- Prepare and reconcile Proofs of Claim and related claim schedules
- Track statutory and case deadlines prepare related memoranda
- Ensure compliance with local rules in relevant jurisdictions
- Collaborate with clients and financial advisors to prepare monthly operating reports
- Manage the preparation distribution and certification of ballot packages; create charts and tally reports
- Support other assignments and projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- 410 years of experience in bankruptcy law preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy procedures filings and court rules
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite PDF tools document management systems and timekeeping software (Elite or similar)
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
