Job Description

Our client an Am Law 100 firm is seeking a full-time Restructuring Insolvency & Bankruptcy Paralegal to join its team in either the Los Angeles or New York office. This position will support both local attorneys and the national Restructuring Insolvency & Bankruptcy Practice Group. The role reports to the Practice Group Leader and works under the direction of attorneys and senior paraprofessionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly interim and final fee applications court filings and bankruptcy-specific documentation
  • Conduct lien searches and assist with analysis; support preparation of schedules and statements of financial affairs
  • Prepare and reconcile Proofs of Claim and related claim schedules
  • Track statutory and case deadlines prepare related memoranda
  • Ensure compliance with local rules in relevant jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with clients and financial advisors to prepare monthly operating reports
  • Manage the preparation distribution and certification of ballot packages; create charts and tally reports
  • Support other assignments and projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 410 years of experience in bankruptcy law preferably in a law firm setting
  • Strong knowledge of bankruptcy procedures filings and court rules
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite PDF tools document management systems and timekeeping software (Elite or similar)
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
