JOB TITLE: Foreman
REPORTS TO: Project Superintendent / Project Manager
The Foreman is responsible for managing the operations of assigned jobs with optimum:

This role involves supervising and coordinating all on-site work including overseeing electricians apprentices and laborers. The Foreman also organizes materials and equipment manages project timelines and ensures that all work complies with applicable standards codes and specifications.

Monitor equipment and request maintenance as needed
Oversee installation and finishing tasks

Enforce safety procedures and lead weekly safety meetings

Maintain and adjust work schedules
Organize materials and equipment for projects
Read and interpret plans specs and contracts
Create layout sketches and resolve site issues promptly

Conduct quality control inspections

Submit reports as required
Alert supervisors of issues delays or absences
Inspect materials before use
Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders
Enforce conduct ethics and appearance policies
Evaluate direct reports performance
Execute additional tasks as assigned
Train new employees when applicable
Maintain current knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Minimum 4 years of journeyman-level electrical experience
Proficiency with hand tools equipment and machinery
Experience with installations testing and electrical wiring
Ability to perform interlock wiring and diagnose issues
Skilled in instructing and training team members
Knowledge of the latest NEC
Must pass background and drug screening
Installation & Maintenance:
Supervise apprentices and manage full installation and service process
Work with motors control panels relays fire systems conduit switches generators and transformers
Skilled in using hand and power tools
Capable of planning and supervising team tasks
Physically able to meet the demands of the role
Administrative:
Prepare cost estimates and system upgrades
Collaborate with engineers and review procedures
Review specs and bids; manage procurement
Interpret blueprints and create wiring diagrams
Hire train schedule and evaluate staff
Maintain inventory of electrical parts
General:
Fluent in English (reading writing speaking)
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Spanish proficiency is a plus
Knowledge of PPE job orders and vehicle safety
Prior supervisory experience preferred
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Trade school college coursework or Associates degree in electrical or related field
Valid ET Card
Valid Class C drivers license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Electrical Hazard Awareness CPR First Aid and AED certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Fast-paced work with tight deadlines
Exposure to varying weather and environmental elements
Travel between job sites required
Work at heights on ladders or uneven/slippery surfaces
Exposure to noise dust and temperature extremes
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads
Regular standing walking climbing kneeling and bending
Operation of machines and tools
