Responsibilities:
- Partners with staff medical leadership outlying facilities and their physicians to coordinate appropriate placement of patients within the system in a timely manner. Participates as a full partner with medical and departmental leadership to ensure cohesive department communication. Responsible for the 24-hour day-to-day operations of the Transfer Center.
- Lead mentor and manage a team of transfer center managers and staff fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Demonstrates astute fiscal accountability for area of responsibility as evidenced by the appropriate management and justification of resources which includes personnel equipment supplies and capital. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements based on data-driven analysis.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross functional teams to align transfer center operations with objectives and customer needs.
- Facilitates staff participation and participates in the Quality Outcomes Program and/or unit-based quality initiatives for the purpose of developing and monitoring exemplary clinical outcomes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational processes.
- Commit to the on-going development of self unit leadership team and staff to achieve professional goals. Create and maintain effective training programs to develop staff skills and capabilities.
Requirements:
- Required H.S. Diploma or GED
- Preferred RN - Lic-Registered Nurses by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact
- Required Transfer Center Dispatch or other EMS experience; 2 years of which in a formal leadership role
