Project Manager Industrial & Logistics Development


Location: Riga Latvia

We at VGP are currently undertaking several exciting new projects in Latvia with planned development spanning the next several years. Furthermore there are ambitious plans set for expansion into the Lithuanian market and re-entering the Estonian market in the near future.

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the development of industrial and logistics facilities from inception through to commissioning. This role involves managing projects from the clients perspective acting as the general contractor and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Project Manager directly influences the companys development strategy in the construction sector.

As Project Manager you will play a critical part in the development of cutting-edge industrial and logistics facilities working with advanced technologies and sustainable construction methods. Your work will contribute to strengthening VGPs presence in the Baltic states and enabling its future growth in the region.


Your Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale projects from development to handover and ensure that they are completed safely on time within budget and to the right quality standard.
  • Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines and contribute to the preparation of new project business cases.
  • Streamlining processes so that development activities operate at maximum efficiency with bottlenecks addressed on a timely basis.
  • Manage relationships with external construction managers engaged as subcontractors.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants and other project stakeholders.
  • Participate in procurement and contract negotiations particularly within the Design & Build model.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure meeting project goals and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Writing up reports and presenting findings to the relevant parties.

Your Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in large construction project management.
  • Experience with industrial and/or logistics facilities is preferred.
  • Ability to manage 12 significant projects simultaneously over a 34 years period.
  • A high technical aptitude technical education in construction or civil engineering is an advantage.
  • Experience in Design & Build processes procurement and construction work management.
  • Good knowledge of the local civil construction market.
  • Strong self-management skills to ensure timely delivery of site activities.
  • Team player with individual proactive approach and good communication skills.
  • A growth mindset attention to detail and an excellent work ethic.
  • Fluent English language both spoken and written.
