What is the role
Nestled in the heart of the community and just a short walk from local amenities our residential care home is proud to be home to 40 vibrant residents each with unique personalities and a wide range of support needs including dementia care. With a strong reputation for excellence and compassion our mission is simple: put residents first in everything we do.
What Youll Do:
- Prepare cook and serve nutritious delicious meals tailored to individual dietary needs including special diets.
- Lead the mealtime experience from start to finish: food ordering storage prep cooking serving and kitchen clean-up.
- Champion kitchen safety ensuring all practices follow food hygiene infection control and COSHH regulations.
- Bring joy through food engage in meaningful conversations with residents while serving turning meals into moments of connection.
- Support with care help residents who need assistance at mealtimes with dignity and kindness.
To be successful in this role youll need to have:
- Experience working in food preparation in a professional kitchen or catering environment.
- A passion for providing excellent service and meals that nourish both body and spirit.
- A positive proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
