The Opportunity: Litigation Associate Attorney

Join a highly regarded mid-sized law firm celebrated for its collegial culture and impactful civil litigation practice. Our attorneys tackle complex commercial real estate and contract disputespartnering closely with skilled paralegals and support staff to deliver superior client results.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 24 years of practicing experience including at least 1.5 years of substantive civil litigation in a law-firm setting. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on civil litigation work (outside of state- or federal-government roles).
Key Responsibilities
  • Pleadings & Motion Practice: Draft and file complaints answers motions and briefs in state and federal courts.
  • Discovery Management: Prepare interrogatories requests for production subpoenas; review and organize documents; oversee e-discovery workflows.
  • Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth case-law research; craft legal memoranda and trial exhibits.
  • Client & Opposing-Counsel Liaison: Maintain clear client communications manage outside-counsel relationships and coordinate with court clerks.
  • Court Appearances & Hearings: Attend and argue routine motions; support partners at depositions and hearings.
  • Case Strategy: Collaborate in strategy sessions develop timeline and budget estimates and track critical deadlines.
Required Qualifications
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; admission to the Florida Bar in good standing
  • 24 years of litigation experience at a law firm including 1.5 years of civil litigation outside government roles
  • Proficiency with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and federal-court practice
  • Strong drafting advocacy and oral-argument skills
  • Excellent organizational ability and judgment in managing multiple matters
