The LCMS group within the R&D Discovery and Technology Futures group is looking for a creative and energeticLCMS Reagent Characterization SeniorScientistspecializing in protein characterization. The successful candidate will join a team of expert scientists at the BS/MS and PhD levels to support new product development/biomarker discovery projects. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has strong wet-bench and data analysis skills curiosity and is a team player.
Integral part of a dynamic LCMS team that develops novel and robust quantitative proteomics assays.
Use cutting edge instrumentation and analysis software to dig deep into the world of proteomics antigen-antibody interaction characterization from samples.
Drive reagent characterization studies using hydrogen-deuterium exchange LCMS and Immunoprecipitation LCMS methods following established protocols to support biomarker assay development.
Prepares materials performs experiments analyzes data document experiments and other lab activities.
Prepare reports and summaries. Present results and conclusions at internal discussions to drive decisions.
Interface with multiple cross-functional teams to support new product development and on-market products.
Communicate and clearly present results to a broad audience within R&D including IDEXX senior leadership
PhD in scientific or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Background in Biochemistry or Chemistry.
Expertise in immunoprecipitation and protein-protein interaction studies.
Hands-on experience with and demonstrated understanding of Thermo Orbitrap and HDX LC systems.
Expert knowledge of proteomic software for analyzing HDX data.
Knowledge of other LCMS methods such as protein quantification will be an added advantage.
Detail-oriented and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and interpret results.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to take initiative own projects and be accountable.
Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate techniques and results and implement improved practices.
Salary range starting at $110000 based on experience
