Currently we are looking for an eager motivated Business Development Manager to join our team.
POSITION SCOPE:
Reporting to the Senior Director Business Development Canada the BDM Aeterna Sintered Slabs focuses on creating and growing relationships with the decision makers at leading kitchen and bath (K&B) retailers and fabricators. This position is responsible for introducing and promoting Aeterna products in the kitchen design and specification community including with influencers designers and fabricators. This role partners with the entire Business Development and A&D team fostering collaboration to uncover new business opportunities and drive growth. Their creative consultative technical demeanor and winning attitude drives individual and organizational success to advance long-term relationships with current and potential customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Bottom-line driven to develop plans and strategies to prospect for new clients
Becomes a trusted advisor to K&B retailers and wholesalers; Conducts product knowledge sessions and Lunch & Learns routinely to drive interest and create a credible presence in the market
Creates market awareness of Anatolia and places merchandising tools at K&B retailers and counter top fabricators
Achieves growth targets by positioning Anatolia as the leading choice on specified projects
Supports Anatolia/Aeternas A&D team to influence decision makers in the GTA designer community
Conducts business development and presentation meetings
Develops deep relationships with the K&B industry to build relationships through event planning coordination and hosting knowledge sharing sessions to foster Anatolia product growth within this channel
Partners with Marketing teams to showcase products in various marketing campaigns and promotional events
Applies creative problem solving and transforms concepts into tangible products or services furthering organizational objectives
Fully understands Anatolias critical challenges and leads the effort to address them while leveraging our competitive strengths
Accurately summarizes business and financial data and consistently applies that information for problem solving decision making and quality and continuous improvement
Probes deeply into issues to fully identify critical problems root causes and contribute to corrective actions
Understands customer needs and develops and executes sales/marketing strategies with precision and effectiveness for the timely attainment of deliverables and growth
Attends industry functions association events and tradeshows and provides feedback and information on market and creative trends; delivers presentations to potential clients and assists as required with preparing and submitting formal documentation specifications etc.
Collaborates with all departments and takes full ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle and manages their account pipeline and activities utilizing a CRM (Salesforce)
Promotes ethical conduct in interactions with others and follows through on commitments
Maintains current knowledge of industry developments and trends and executes a hands-on approach in establishing connections and partnerships with key strategic players at every level
Collaborates with internal and external channel teams to develop and execute channel strategy and programs
Understands Anatolias value proposition and has the ability to explain the strategic advantages Anatolia offers
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-Secondary education from an accredited university or equivalent experience; MBA considered a strong asset
3 5 years business development experience promoting and selling to the K&B industry; additional related experience within a similar industry is an asset
Previous CRM experience Salesforce preferred
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Demonstrated proficiency with the sales process that has resulted in an impressive reputation
Proven track record of successfully influencing customers/contacts managing projects and growing accounts through the application of strong knowledge in business development sales marketing and business analysis
Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills that demonstrate their ability to close deals and grow the business
Enthusiastic self-motivated business-oriented and passionate about selling high value products to customers
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong business acumen
Highly attentive to details with exceptional organizational and planning skills and ability to deliver results against deadlines
50% travel to customer locations industry related conferences and other business-related events
