About the Opportunity:

Join our highly respected National Ecology team! We are expanding and seeking two Ecologists for our Perth office. The ideal candidate will have experience in ecological consulting with developing skills in surveys reporting and assessments. We seek passionate individuals committed to delivering high quality outcomes. About You:

  • A degree/post-graduate qualification in environmental science botany zoology (or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience in planning coordinating and undertaking flora and/or fauna surveys in Western Australia
  • A strong desire to work flexible hours and travel for ecological fieldwork including possible trips of extended duration (one week or greater) in rural or remote regions
  • Wildlife handling experience (i.e. with bats; small ground-dwelling mammals; reptiles; amphibians) are highly regarded
  • Flora identification skills are highly regarded
  • An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including and not limited to clients government agencies and fellow team members
  • Demonstrated experience in the collection and interpretation of ecological and spatial data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including prior experience in assisting with the preparation of reports
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge of Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation is highly regarded
  • A high level of motivation and self direction
  • Be willing to work flexible hours and travel for work
