Job Description
To develop implement and evaluate health education programs for Minnesota State University Mankato students. Develop and maintain a peer education program with a focus on preventative health issues. Coordinate with appropriate University and community personnel to promote a multidisciplinary approach for a campus culture of wellness.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of health education theory and principles.
Ability to plan implement and assist in the evaluation of health education activities and programs.
Interpersonal communication skills necessary to engage a diverse university community.
Understanding of evidence-based preventative programming.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelors degree in a health-related field.
Health Education training and experience in a university setting.
Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification.
Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed.
Experience with managing multiple social media accounts.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
Other Requirements
Work safely at all times which includes but is not limited to participating and completing all required safety trainings as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools equipment and personal protective equipment.

Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)
The academic year working days and hours for this position will be Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to4:30 p.m. The summer working days and hours will be Tuesday - Thursday; 8:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m. Working days and hours during breaks (holiday spring summer) will be reduced and variable based on department need.
