Salary Range

$49985 - $72480

Job Function

Highly skilled and detail-oriented Data and Software Specialist supports the organizations data infrastructure software systems and digital tools. This role involves managing analyzing and safeguarding data while also developing and maintaining software solutions to support business operations and decision-making. Supports the IT Vendor and Project Manager in ensuring adequate internal controls and security for all OHA network systems.

Essential Functions

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Collecting organizing and managing large datasets from various sources.
  • Ensuring data integrity security and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Developing and implementing data models and pipelines.
  • Create dashboards reports and data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Managing databases and data storage systems.

Software Implementation and Maintenance:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in Yardi software. Function as the primary point of expertise for Yardi systems. Lead all Yardi software-related implementations configurations and support.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance on Yardi platform usage and optimization. Test and deploy custom software tools and applications.
  • Maintain and improve existing software systems (e.g. bug fixes performance tuning).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Integrate platforms into internal systems.

Support & Collaboration:

  • Provide technical support for software applications and databases.
  • Document workflows code and system architecture.
  • Train staff on data tools and software systems.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data and software development.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Work in collaboration with Managed Service Provider.

Additional Responsibilities

  • May attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
  • Clearly understand all aspects of the policies and procedures of OHA.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with all other departments within OHA in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
  • Perform special projects and prepare special reports as directed.
  • May travel to various sites around Omaha to perform job duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology or a related field is required. Minimum of two years work experience in a data-related or software development role.
  • Professional certifications in software development methodologies or specific technologies relevant to the industry may be advantageous.
  • Experience with database systems familiarity with cloud platforms is a plus and knowledge of data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environments are crucial.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers consultants contractors HUD local state federal officials; ability to communicate with people from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Excellent oral written analytical and interpersonal skills and will have strong ability to identify and solve problems. Ability to develop and present training sessions.
  • Possess and maintain a valid operators license and a good driving record and is insurable under the OHA auto insurance policy.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting amid normal conditions of dust odors fumes and noises and involves considerable public contact.

Abilities

  • Ability to sit stand and walk up to 100% of the time; and reach stoop squat push pull and type up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to thirty (30) pounds up to 33% of the time.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
