Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) a member of the Texas A&M University System welcomes applicants for a Visiting Instructional Assistant Professor to beginFall 2025.
TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with over 8000 students located in Laredo Texas a vibrant and bicultural city with a population of about 250000. The university advances knowledge through research and discovery teaching and learning community engagement and public service and with an intentional focus on student success and research excellence. For more information please visit is atemporary (1-year) full-time non-tenure track 9-month academic faculty appointment. Primary duties will includeteaching undergraduate courses in Kinesiology (15-semester credit hours per semester) such as biomechanics exercise physiology athletic training and adapted physical activity on-campus sites as dictated by program course schedule and student demand. Duties also includeproviding review sessions for students and providing service to the college university and community. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

The successful candidate must hold aan earned PhD in Exercise Science or related Kinesiology field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the desired discipline; previous teaching experience at a collegiate level. The selected candidate must have flexibility in scheduling to accommodate evening classes and weekends as necessary. The candidate must be able to deliver content in various formats including in-person hybrid and online. We strongly encourage candidates with NSCA (CPT CSCS) or ASCM certifications are desired.
