Job Description:
Location: Farnborough
Job Type:Full-Time onsite
Due to the customer requirements successful applicants must be eligible for high level UK Security clearance SC and be able to work onsite in Farnborough.
The Advanced Mission Planning Aid (AMPA) provides mission planning capabilities across a wide array of fixed wing platforms. The product has a proven delivery record to both the client as well as export customers around the world. The product comprises both common capabilities and customer / aircraft specific capabilities.
The AMPA product family is well established and the majority of development work on the account is in the form of incremental change to mature software components.
The Software Engineering Lead (SEL) works collaboratively with and takes direction from the Software Engineering Team Lead (SETL) to manage the Software Team backlog. This includes preparing backlog items such that they are ready for selection and inclusion in team Sprint Backlogs.
As members of the Design Office SELs work with the Product Design Authority to ensure that the technical solution / design implemented for the project aligns with the overall product technical direction and with the Compliance Verification Engineer to ensure that all changes are implemented in accordance with a Quality Management System that reflects the Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Articles. The SEL also seeks to apply appropriate tools and methods to increase productivity and accuracy.
The SEL is part of the software engineering team and reports directly to the Software Engineering Team Lead.
