We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to fill the role of Executive Lead International Programs.

Oxfam Australia is seeking a dynamic and experienced people leader to step into the role ofExecutive Lead International Programs a critical executive position responsible for overseeing and driving the delivery of our international development and humanitarian portfolio.

Youll lead a team of experts across development programming humanitarian response and grants management. Youll bring strategic clarity performance rigour and a collaborative mindset to ensure we deliver effective values-aligned programming in a rapidly changing world.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Drive the delivery of Oxfam Australias international strategy and hold accountability for results outcomes and impact
  • Lead coach and manage the team building a culture of high performance accountability and wellbeing
  • Ensure the successful delivery of major development and humanitarian programs including DFAT-funded and donor-funded initiatives
  • Provide adaptive leadership to navigate complexity and uncertainty making data-driven decisions and managing risk proactively
  • Serve as a key external representative with DFAT ACFID Oxfam International and other partners
  • Strengthen systems optimise operations and champion continuous improvement across all aspects of program delivery


Skills And Experiences

A little about you (the key selection criteria)

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • You are a seasoned executive or senior leader who can demonstrate:
  • Proven experience in leading complex international development and humanitarian programs at a senior or executive level with a deep understanding of the sector and global donor landscape
  • Extensive experience in leading managing and motivating teams to change ways of working foster continuous improvement and deliver on strategic goals
  • Extensive experience representing organisations to donors governments sector bodies (e.g. DFAT ACFID) and confederation partners
  • Demonstrated experience operating in DFAT-accredited agencies with a strong understanding of accreditation processes and sector standards (e.g. ACFID).
  • Demonstrated expertise in MEL systems design use of data for decision-making and embedding learning within program teams.
