Purpose Statement: The Exceptional Child Services (ECS) / Special Education certified teaching position is an integral part of the ECS team that collaboratively provides interventions and educational support to allow every student to make progress and find success in and out of the classroom. This position supports children in developing skills and finding appropriate adaptations and interventions to successfully access curriculum and become independent advocates for their learning in an inclusive Functions:Develop and implement instructional programs that meet the individual needs interests and abilities of students in accordance with their IEPs and 504 direct instruction through push-in and pull-out services working across grade levels to ensure all students can access core curriculum and meet personal learning a purposeful and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes student growth inclusion and teaching methods and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs informed by current best practices and research-based with general education teachers aides families and service providers to ensure consistency and effectiveness in intervention and and participate in IEP and 504 meetings maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and student progress using formal and informal methods documenting outcomes and using data to refine accurate complete and legally compliant student records including service logs progress reports and and uphold high standards for behavior and character development; support classroom and school-wide behavior the Code of Ethics for Idaho Educators District policies and school mission and and contribute to faculty meetings professional development activities team collaborations and school events as duties as assigned.
