Job Description
Must haves:
- Operate the Novarc robotic welder training provided.
- Perform specialty welding tasks; hand welding of all fittings mechanical branch outlet nozzles threadolets pipe fitting fit-ups and tack and root welding.
- Inspect work for defects dimensions alignment end preparations and seam splits in pipe.
- Maintain a clean and safe welding station while conforming to Fergusons standards of quality and performance.
- Reports all equipment malfunctions safety issues and required repairs.
- Assist in all aspects of the shop when not welding such as groove assemblies thread assemblies hanger assemblies etc.
- 1-3 years pipe welding / pipe fitting experience in either the commercial or industrial HVAC industry required.
- Graduate from technical college in pipe welding with minimum of 1 year field experience in pipe trades will also be considered.
- Stick electrode welding experience required.
- GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) experience preferred.
- TIG and MIG experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Attention to detail integrity and professionalism.
