Role Responsibilities

  • Prepare dining areas before and after meals to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
  • Set tables with the appropriate utensils and glassware to prepare for service.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently from customers.
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of special events and banquets by collaborating with the kitchen staff.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and address any issues or concerns proactively.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items and be able to make recommendations.
  • Assist with the training of junior staff as needed.
  • Keep track of inventory and assist in ordering supplies when necessary.
  • Conduct regular checks of dining and service areas to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Participate in shift briefings and team meetings to discuss daily operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to enhance guest experiences and foster repeat business.
  • Handle cash and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to communicate order changes or special requests.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and special requests to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a steward or similar role in hospitality.
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in fine dining is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of wine spirits and beverage service is preferred.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to guest satisfaction.
