Job Description
Job Title: Big Data DBA (Hadoop Architect)
Location: Omaha NE (Onsite Required)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Experience Level: Senior 10 Years in Hadoop Ecosystem)
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Big Data Technologies:
- Hadoop (Architecture & Management On-Prem)
- Hive Spark HBase HDFS YARN MapReduce
- Tools/Frameworks:
- Jupyter ETL Tools
- OS:
- Basic Linux administration
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Cloud & Analytics:
- Azure
- Databricks
- Snowflake
- Tableau (Data Analytics)
- Agile development methodology exposure
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and manage on-prem Hadoop ecosystems
- Perform lift-and-shift of Hadoop workloads to the cloud
- Support cloud-based Big Data hosting
- Review code and mentor junior developers for quality deliverables
- Ensure First Time Right / Zero Defect production deployments
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communicate effectively across teams
Soft Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Agile team collaboration (preferred).
