Job Description

Data Analyst

We are hiring five professionals with strong technical analytical and relationship management skills to support enrolment reporting and client impact analysis within the group benefits space. This hybrid opportunity (Tuesday Thursday on-site) can be based in either Waterloo ON or Montr al QC and runs through February 2026 with the possibility of extension or full-time conversion depending on performance.

What is in it for you:

Hourly salary of $23.00-24.50 based on experience.
6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
Standard Hours: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM.
Flexible Options: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM or 8:30 AM 4:30 PM.
Hybrid work: in-office Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:

Support enrolment projects by performing data analysis and identifying business impacts.
Engage internal stakeholders and service owners to define requirements and document changes.
Create review and transition deliverables for sign-off and operational handover.
Drive client impact assessments reporting and workflow updates related to benefit administration.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies in data processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced client-focused environment.

What you will need to succeed:

A bachelors degree is an asset but not required.
2 4 years of experience in data analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
Experience with the full MS Office suite.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a passion for data.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time.
Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Confidence and resilience in high-pressure situations.
Collaborative mindset with a client-focused approach.
Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations effectively at all levels.
Knowledge of group benefits and benefits administration is an asset.
Familiarity with Vital Objects or AdminAdvantage is an asset.
Understanding of payroll or electronic file formats is an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Visual Basic is an asset.
Experience learning new products technologies or tools is a plus.
