Job Description
Working within a talented team of technology experts the Staff Engineer plays a leading role in the development of the Insights Product Technology Platform a highly scalable cloud (AWS) platform using the latest in Java & Typescript technologies.

As a Staff Engineer at Insights you will be a senior-level individual contributor who plays a critical role in the technical leadership of the department. You will be responsible for driving the architecture scalability and quality of robust systems mentoring other engineers and shaping the long-term technical direction of products and platforms. Staff Engineers are domain experts who bridge technical strategy with hands-on engineering.
Day to day you will:
- Lead the design and evolution of scalable high-impact systems and architectures.
- Drive cross-team technical initiatives and make strategic engineering decisions on performance scalability and maintainability.
- Champion best practices in software development code quality testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Mentor engineers and foster a culture of learning and technical excellence across the department.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams and delivering high-quality scalable solutions.
- Strong hands-on expertise in modern languages and frameworks such as Java TypeScript Spring React and Playwright.
- Solid understanding of software engineering disciplines including server-side client-side and testing practices.
- A hands-on collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with cloud platforms and tooling including AWS Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable with Git code reviews and driving engineering standards across teams.
